HOW TO COMPLETE THE LAND BUYING PROCESS
Once you have completed, as a buyer, the payment of the purchase price or as per the agreement between yourself and the seller,the next step is to have the transfer documents executed by both parties. If it is an agricultural land,the consent of transfer must have been acquired by the seller to enable the effectuation of the transfer process.
The transfer documents are then submitted to the lands office.They are done valuation after which stamp duty is paid. Thereafter,the registration is done whereby the land parcel is registered in the name of the buyer. A title document is thereafter issued to the buyer in his name. The process is completed within a reasonable time if all the documents are available and in good order.
